Child jumps from 5th floor, emulating Spider-Man, survives unharmed
A boy who jumped from the 5th floor in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, emulating the cartoon character "Spider Man", survived without any serious injuries.

According to information received, on June 7, 5.5-year-old Berzan Korkmaz went to visit his grandmother in Arnavutköy with his mother and brother.
Berzan, who was playing with his younger brother in another room, jumped out of the window of the house on the 5th floor.
When the family realized that the child had fallen, the situation was reported to the the medical teams and his father, Fatih Korkmaz.
Berzan was taken to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention of the teams who came to the scene upon notice.
Berzan, who was determined to have tenderness in his back area and a slight crush in his lung, was discharged from the hospital a week later after the treatment process under the supervision of doctors.
Father Fatih Korkmaz, who was both happy and shocked after his son's saving, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that his son's salvation was like a miracle and that he could not forget the feeling of worry that day.
Korkmaz noted that his son had told him that he would fly like "Spider Man", so he gave him some warnings.
Noting that children do something when they put their minds to it, Korkmaz said, "Parents should never let them to watch Spiderman. They should not give children phones and tablets." said.
Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Pediatric Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. Mehmet Çakmak, on the other hand, also stated that the survival of Berzan Korkmaz was "miraculous."
Çakmak pointed out that flying is a big dream for children who can't distinguish between the real and the imaginary world, and said that they sometimes get caught in the fantasy world and act in wrong ways.
Çakmak advised parents to be more careful if children are emulating superheroes and not to leave them alone.
Expressing that children cannot express their energies at home during the summer months, Çakmak added that they should be directed to a social activity for this reason.
