Antalya’s İmecik plateau rock formations attract nature lovers
Huge rock masses made up of several sections, rising in the middle of lush green pastures, are attracting both plateau residents and nature lovers to the area.

İmecik, a district of Korkuteli in Antalya, is one of the region's most important highland plateaus. Located at an altitude of 2,200 meters on the foothills of the Beydağları Mountains, the plateau supports both sheep and cattle farming, while also offering favorable areas for agriculture and beekeeping.
Hosting visitors from nearby areas every year during its traditional plateau festivals, İmecik plateau is also drawing nature lovers, travelers and landscape photographers with its giant rock formations.
The largest of the rocks, which hold an important place in the lives of local residents, is known as "Deveci Taşı," while the highest point of the rock mass is called "Gediğin Başı."
Frequently visited by plateau residents, the rocky slopes also serve as a place where local youth make their first displays of bravery. Located 95 kilometers from Antalya city center and 35 kilometers from Korkuteli district center, the towering rocks rise majestically from the green pasturelands, while a winding stream flowing between them creates scenic views.
Visible from miles away, the rock formations also stand out for their unique plateau and mountain landscapes.
