Konya butterfly valley: A breathtaking home for thousands of butterflies
Konya Butterfly Valley, opened on July 4, 2015, is one of Europe's largest and one of the world's few butterfly flight areas with a 1,600 square meter butterfly flight area.

The Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden has a total usage area of 7,600 square meters, with 3,500 square meters allocated for the visitor area.
At the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, which hosts around 10,000 butterflies from 45 different species brought from various countries, a natural habitat is provided for them.
Additionally, the garden features approximately 20,000 plants belonging to 98 different species, along with various animal species. The Butterfly Garden maintains a tropical climate with a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a humidity level of 80 percent.
The project includes 270,000 m² of green space, 105,000 m² of hard surface area, and 10,000 m² of pool area. Within the project, there are facilities such as an amphitheater, mini cinema, ponds, and water pools, exercise equipment, children's play elements, circus and go-kart areas, greenhouses, and botanical gardens, as well as insect and butterfly museums.
The valley gets its name from the 80 or more butterfly species it hosts, especially the tiger butterfly, and is surrounded by steep rocky walls reaching up to 350 meters in height.
