These Turkish-made UAVs and SIHAs have been exported to numerous countries around the globe, serving in both military and civilian roles.
As the key component of Türkiye's major defense and aerospace exports, these UAVs have now been added to Saudi Arabia's inventory, marking another significant milestone.
The Al-Monitor analysis delved into the reasons behind the soaring popularity of Türkiye's Baykar drones, which have been utilized in conflict zones like Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Ethiopia, and Somalia, proving their effectiveness in real combat situations.
With the recent sales to Saudi Arabia, the demand for these systems is expected to rise further in the Gulf region.
Notably, Turkish UAVs have earned a reputation for being more cost-effective than their US and other Western counterparts. Additionally, they have demonstrated superiority over other non-Western UAV systems produced in countries like China or Iran.
