Liverpool’s Diogo Jota dies in fiery car crash in Spain

The crash occurred near Sanabria in the Zamora region, at the 65th kilometer of the A-52 highway.
Tragically, Jota had married Rute Cardoso just 10 days ago, sharing wedding photos that deeply saddened his fans.
Jota was traveling with his 26-year-old brother André when their car veered off the road and caught fire. Witnesses reported the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
His 25-year-old brother André Silva played for regional league teams in Portugal after progressing through Porto and Boavista youth systems.
Jota, who came through Paços Ferreira's youth academy, transferred to Atletico Madrid in 2016.
He was loaned to Porto and Wolverhampton before making a breakthrough in the Premier League, leading to his 2020 transfer to Liverpool for €44.7 million.
In 182 appearances for Liverpool, Jota scored 65 goals and provided 26 assists. Over his career, including two titles with the Portugal national team, he won a total of seven trophies.
