This colossal species, which typically does not exhibit aggressive behavior towards humans and can exceed 18 meters in length, feeds on plankton.
Whale shark populations have halved in recent years, placing them on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) red list and under protection.
Nurse sharks are among the most frequently encountered species during dives in the region, while tiger sharks can also be observed from time to time.
Nurse sharks, commonly seen around reefs and in sandy areas, are known for their calm nature.
Often observed resting motionless on the seabed during the day, this species becomes active at night, feeding on small fish and invertebrates.
