President of the Sweden Örebro Astronomy Department Kjell Olauson said that a rupture and crack was seen in the Earth's magnetic field, causing northern lights to be strongly reflected in the sky.
"According to the latest reports, there has been a rupture in the magnetic field of the Earth. With the strong wind blowing, it turned into a dance of light that can be seen in Northern Europe," Olauson said, underlining his surprise at the latest data.
Olauson highlighted that the magnetic field act as a shield against the radiated lights, along with the atmospheres.
It is also stated that the Northern Lights, which appear following the interaction of the magnetic field of the Earth with the charged particles that come from the Sun, are expected to be seen in Germany and Poland too in the following days.
