Türkiye extracting over 5,000 barrels of oil daily: report
In Türkiye's Şırnak, where 150 million barrels of oil reserves were discovered, over 5 thousand of oil are extracted daily from the wells.

According to the report of TRT Haber, who went to the facility in Gabar Mountain in Şırnak, where 5 wells are put into operation, 5,300 barrels of oil are extracted daily from the wells.
Gabar Mountain has been referred to as a terror and terrorist shelter for years. Thanks to the successful operations of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), it is now making a name for itself not with terrorism but with its oil reserves.
In 2022, one of the top 10 oil discoveries in the world was made in Gabar. Turkish news outlet TRT Haber team went to Gabar and closely followed the work.
President Erdoğan had announced the discovery after the Cabinet meeting, saying "We discovered a new field with 150 million net oil reserves in Gabar Mountain."
TRT Haber captured the area, where the value of the discovered reserve is approximately 12 billion dollars, and where 5 thousand barrels of high-quality production are currently being made from 5 wells.
Drilling operations were carried out from approximately 5 wells and included in production. In the facility, where 5 thousand barrels of daily production is made, it is aimed to start production in 10 wells in 2023.
Drilling activities at the facility continue as the employees carry out intense activity in the region where the location studies continue.
