Iceland presents Icelandverse, makes fun of Facebook and Zuckerberg
Iceland wants to give a push to its tourism industry that is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why they seem to have come up with an interesting idea.

The country published an advert in which Mark Zuckerberg and the metaverse was the topic of ridicule, where they also talked about the Icelandverse.
The advert was shared by Inspired by Iceland, the tourism organization of the northern country, in its social media pages. The video shows a man that is not just quite similar looking to Mark Zuckerberg but also resembles him in his expressions, manners, and looks.
"In our open-world experience everything is real and has been for millions of years," says Zack Mossbergsson, the Chief Visionary Officer of the Icelandverse. "It's completely immersive, with water that's wet, with humans to connect with."
Although the video has a humoristic undertone, it also does a really good job portraying and highlighting the wonders of Iceland, varying from the flora and the fauna and the northern lights to the geysers and waterfalls of the country, including the biggest waterfall in the world, which is under the ocean. And the best part of this is that "you don't need to look weird wearing a virtual reality headset," as confirms Icelanders.
Furthermore, this parody doesn't seem like it bothered Mark Zuckerberg, in fact, it looks like it is the opposite. The founder of Facebook dropped a commentary under the Icelandverse post in the same social media platform, saying that he would like to visit Icelandverse while also felicitating Zack Mossbergsson for using sunscreen.
