Volcano eruption recorded in Batangas province of Philippines
Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines, erupted three times on Sunday, sending plumes up to 2,100 meters high, prompting the country's seismologist agency, Phivolcs, to raise the alert level to 1.

The Philippines recorded three eruptions at a volcano Sunday in Batangas province in the southwestern part of Luzon Island, the Phil Star reported.
The Filipino state seismologist agency, Phivolcs, said it recorded three eruptions at the Taal Volcano, which generated plumes that were spewed up to 1,200 - 2,100 meters (3,937 - 6,889 feet) above the crater.
Phivolcs later raised its alert to level 1.
