Germany will provide another €200 million ($212 million) to Ukraine to support education, health care and drinking water supplies, as well as urban reconstruction.

Jochen Flasbarth, who serves as the German government's commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine, pledged the aid during a visit to the country, dpa learned on Saturday.

According to the Economic Cooperation and Development Ministry in Berlin, Germany so far has allocated around €1 billion for civilian purposes since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
