Countries that supply Iran with weapons will face 50% tariffs on their exports to the US, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, hours after announcing a two-week ceasefire.

The additional tariff rate would take immediate effect for all goods sold into the US by countries selling arms to Tehran, Trump wrote on his platform Truth Social.

"There will be no exclusions or exemptions!" he added.

In a separate post, Trump said there would be "no enrichment of Uranium" - the raw material required to build nuclear weapons.

"The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive Regime Change! There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear 'Dust,'" he wrote.

He said this was under strict satellite surveillance and that "nothing has been touched" since the country's nuclear sites were attacked last year.

"We are, and will be, talking Tariff and Sanctions relief with Iran," he wrote.

"Many of the 15 points have already been been [sic] agreed," Trump added. It was initially unclear what these points referred to.

Iran and the US agreed on a two-week ceasefire and the temporary reopening of the Strait of Hormuz overnight under a last-ditch deal to avert a massive wave of strikes threatened by Trump.

Iran had previously presented its own 10-point plan for a possible agreement, but it is not clear how many of these points will be accepted by the US in future negotiations.
