TOGG will hit the roads of Europe in 2025

"Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır met with journalists during his Brussels visit and made statements. Kacır stated that the pre-ordered 20,000 TOGGs will be delivered to their owners by the end of the year, saying, 'By the end of 2024, TOGG will have reached the point of export to the European Union (EU), and in 2025, we will see an increasing number of TOGGs on European roads every day.'

Reminding that TOGG is designed as a smart and electric car from scratch, Minister Kacır said, 'In fact, TOGG is one of the most concrete examples of Türkiye's green transformation and carbon-neutral vision.'

'New investment news regarding electric vehicles will come in Türkiye'

Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır noted that they have been in talks with numerous international companies regarding electric vehicles and explained that new investment news in this field will be received day by day in Türkiye.

Kacır mentioned their communication with Tesla and other companies, saying, 'The Chinese also show a significant interest. We have opened our doors to any investor who will add value to Türkiye. As long as they act with a win-win understanding, I believe we will hear new news in the coming period.'

Reminding that Toyota took its first step in rechargeable hybrid production in Europe in Türkiye, Kacır stated, 'We held its ceremony in the past weeks. Ford has completed its investment in Yeniköy facilities for the production of electric commercial vehicles.'

Kacır recalled that they inaugurated the mentioned facility with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, 'The capacity of the facility has increased from 105,000 to over 400,000. It was a tremendous investment. Not only Ford vehicles but also Volkswagen vehicles will be produced there. All these are part of Türkiye's green transformation.'

Pointing out that they have accelerated electrification not only in road vehicles but also in rail systems in transportation, Kacır said, 'Our E5000 electric locomotive is another critical project. The number of all these projects will increase in the coming period.'"
