German actress Sandra Hüller, an Academy Award nominee for her role in legal drama "Anatomy of a Fall," is to be awarded a prize by the Braunschweig International Film Festival on Saturday.

Hüller is to receive the festival's main prize, the Europa, worth €25,000 ($29,000), at a ceremony in the central German city.

"Sandra Hüller inspires audiences time and time again with her multifaceted approach and has rightly made a name for herself in Hollywood," said jury member Thorsten Rinke.

The prize is the latest in a string of honours for Hüller.

In addition to the Oscar nomination for Best Actress, her performance in Justine Triet's "Anatomy of a Fall" won her a European Film Award and a César Award.

She also received broad international recognition for her role in Jonathan Glazer's award-winning Holocaust drama "The Zone of Interest."

But the 47-year-old said she does not differentiate between the many awards. "There isn't really a ranking for me," she said. "I'm just happy when what I do is recognized."

The Braunschweig festival has been honouring actors for their contributions to European film culture since 2007.

"I am particularly pleased that this is the context," Hüller said about the award.

She noted that national borders are becoming less and less important, and that the European film community is increasingly working together.

For this reason, Hüller sees learning languages as an easy way to get roles. "You just have to make a little effort and then you can also act in other films," she said.
