Los Angeles fire officials stated that a portion of a large tunnel under construction in the city collapsed, trapping 31 workers approximately 9.6 kilometers from the entrance.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced on her social media account that all of the trapped workers were rescued about an hour after the collapse.
