A total of 117,477 vehicles were registered in January, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said on Thursday.
The number of motor vehicle registrations in Turkey fell by 8.7 percent year-on-year in January, according to official data.
"The total number of road motor vehicles registered to traffic reached 22,325,033 by the end of January," an official report said.
In January, automobiles accounted for most new registrations (62.9 percent) while small trucks and motorcycles represented 21.9 percent and 5.8 percent, respectively.
Renault made up 15.8 percent of new registrations, followed by Volkswagen with 13 percent and Fiat with 8 percent.
