According to New York police, a 64-year-old man named Stuart Seldowitz, who held a high-ranking position in the US government's Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs, was arrested on Wednesday for making offensive comments towards a halal food vendor in New York City.

The ex-State Department official was captured on camera harassing a Muslim vendor in New York City, advocating for the killing of additional Palestinian children in Gaza.

The charges against him include aggravated harassment, hate crime stalking, and stalking at the vendor's place of employment. This comes after Seldowitz was caught on video calling the vendor a "terrorist" and making disturbing remarks about the death of Palestinian children in Gaza.

According to authorities, the victim, a male in his mid-twenties, reported that he was approached numerous times at his workplace by an individual who repeatedly made anti-Islamic remarks on various dates.

As a result, the victim expressed feeling fearful and irked. Recently, footage emerged of multiple confrontations between Seldowitz and an Egyptian employee at a halal cart in Manhattan regarding Israel's conflict with Gaza.

In the captured video posted on X, Seldowitz said that simply killing 4,000 Palestinian children was not sufficient. The vendor urges him to leave and insists he does not want to hear it. Seldowitz accuses the vendor of being a terrorist and supporting terrorism.

Additionally, during other interactions, Seldowitz can be heard using derogatory language towards Prophet Muhammad and referring to the vendor as "ignorant" due to his limited proficiency in English.

Seldowitz also warns that he has the power to involve Egypt's secret police through his government influence and use them against the vendor.

He warns with a smile, "The Mukhabarat in Egypt will come for your parents. Does your father happen to be fond of his fingernails? They will pluck them out individually."
