US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Saturday accused Chinese companies of "fuelling" the fentanyl drug addiction crisis in the United States, as he met with officials in Shanghai.
"This is not the government but this is Chinese companies," he told Shanghai Communist Party chief Chen Jining, according to a pool report, adding: "They are fuelling the fentanyl crisis that is poisoning communities across the United States."
