International students who receive scholarships to pursue education in Turkey Thursday provided aid for Syrian families in the capital of host country.

Students under Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) provided clothes, toys and financial aid to Syrian families living in the capital Ankara.

"It is pleasing to have such widespread cooperation activities in Turkey," Zakaria Hassan, a Somalian law student in Turkey's Başkent University, told Anadolu Agency.

Walaa Aldeges, a Jordanian student studying physical therapy in Yıldırım Beyazıt University, said: "It's a very nice feeling to help others and make them happy."

Established in 2010, the YTB is responsible for coordinating the activities of Turks living abroad and developing relations through economic, social and cultural activities.
