Russian, Turkish foreign ministers to meet in Moscow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will meet in Moscow on March 14, an official said Friday.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zaharova at a news conference in Moscow said the ministers will hold a session of the Russian-Turkish Intergovernmental Joint Commission.

Lavrov and Çavuşoğlu will clarify their positions on key issues of bilateral agenda and analyze the performance of agreements reached by the presidents of both countries, she added.

They will also examine the realization of joint projects, including the construction of a nuclear power plant Akkuyu and pipeline Turkish Stream.

The ministers will discuss preparations to a high-level Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council meeting.

Also, the Syrian conflict will be on the agenda of the meeting.
