Nearly 150 Afghan nationals living in a central Anatolian province on Wednesday applied for voluntary military service to take part in Operation Olive Branch in northwestern Syria.
On Jan. 20, Turkey launched Operation Olive Branch to clear PYD/PKK and Daesh terrorists from Syria's Afrin region.
Almost 150 Afghan nationals, gathered in central Aksaray, expressed their support for the Turkish army.
They were raising Turkish and Afghan flags, posters of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Afghan First Deputy President Rashid Dostum and chanting slogans in support of Operation Olive Branch.
Abdullah Nazari, an Afghan national, said they were ready to fight for Turkey as they owe a lot to Turkey.
"We are ready to extend all kinds of support to Turkey. We can fight on the battle field. Turkey has always given a helping hand to us and now it's our turn to do something," he said.
Later, they submitted their applications to Army Recruiting Office.
