Palestinian youth Ameen to continue protesting with Turkish flag

Despite the pain of injuries and losing loved ones, the Palestinians vow to continue protesting along the Gaza border by being inspired through the heroic stance of Turkey by their side.

This is the story of Ameen Isleem, whom israeli soldiers shot down while he was protesting and holding the Turkish flag.

The A News team visited the brave young man to understand why he was holding the Turkish flag during the protest.

Ameen Isleem [young Palestinian protestor from Gaza Strip]: "I was holding Turkey's flag to express my gratitude to the Turkish people who always stand by our side, unlike the Arab countries who have signed the death warrant of the Palestinian cause except for the Turkish People and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."

Ameen expressed his hopes that Palestinians will never be alone as long as Turkish people support them.

"They come to our aid from the sea, from the land, from everywhere. The Palestinian people do not lack anything as long as the Turkish people are with us."

When Ameen was shot by israeli soldiers he said he refused to let the turkish flag remain on the ground because Turkey and its President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan didn't let Palestinian people down.

"When I was shot I fell on the ground, but when the Turkish flag fell, I took it immediately and I held it high, because I will not allow Israel to humiliate the Turkish flag by shooting me to drop it."

Despite Ameen being shot by Israeli forces several times, he maintain his protest by holding the Turkish flag.

"I've been shot 4 times in my leg but I will keep protesting. Next Friday, if God wills, I will go and hold the Turkish flag and take a picture for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan," Ameen concluded.

Ameen is not the only Palestinian who holds Turkey and President Erdoğan in high esteem. Also many other Palestinians feel hopeful about their future through Turkey's tremendous support for oppressed people in the region.
