Turkey's Erdoğan says it's not possible to take a step back on S-400 deal

Speaking to reporters after eid prayer in Istanbul on Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on the United States to respect Turkey's sovereign decisions, and saying : "Our step is clear. We have a deal and we are committed. It's not possible to take a step back."

As for the Patriots, the U.S. did not make a positive offer as in the S-400. The win-win concept in international trade is in the interest of every country. Otherwise, we don't have to take anything.

The Turkish leader also slammed Turkey's NATO ally the United States for its support for the PKK terrorist organization and its offshoots.

The ammunition and weapon support for terrorist organizations by our strategic partner the U.S. is regrettable.

Erdoğan also voiced Turkey's concerns about the ongoing deadly conflicts in Syria's Idlib province.

"The attacks on civilians with barrel bombs are truly regrettable. We are trying to get rid of this situation as soon as possible," he added.

Erdoğan aslo emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy between all stakeholders to put an end the escalating violence.

"We continue our negotiations with all stakeholder countries that have an interest in Syria, Idlib, Manbij and the east of Euphrates. Our sensitivities resolutely continue," Turkish president concluded.
