Saudi Arabia implements Turkish tech

Saudi Arabia's armed forces are implementing an encryption device developed by a Turkish technology firm. The device, called diskripto, is a hardware-based full-disk encryption device designed to protect data-at-rest by encrypting sensitive information and allowing it to be shared securely. Diskripto can be used to protect several data categories including financial, private individual, military and government data. The device, which can encrypt data at 600 megabytes a second is not vulnerably to software-based threats such as viruses and trojans and will destroy its crypto keys in the case of an attack or external intervention.Meanwhile, ctech, the company behind diskripto is also working on a project to provide mobiots -- a live broadcasting and mobile data communication device from its flagship product family -- for use in saudi police patrol cars.
