The export gas pipeline project Turkstream has completed its initial phase and a completion ceremony is being held in Istanbul with the attendence of the Russian and Turkish presidents. Turkstream will not only span across the Black Sea from Russia to Turkey but will further extend to Turkey's borders with neighboring countries. The new pipeline is expected to be operational at the end of 2019.
