Turkish Statistical Institute data showed on Tuesday that the seasonal poultry production of Turkey increased in 2017.
Hen egg production in the country rose 6.6 percent to reach 19.3 billion units last year, compared with 2016.
The data revealed that chicken meat production also increased to 2.1 million tons in 2017, up 12.9 percent from the previous year.
Over the same period the number of slaughtered chickens rose 11 percent.
