A wanted PKK member was among three terrorists neutralized by security forces in eastern Turkey, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

Sultan Oruç, codenamed Ardem Ararat and Berivan, was neutralized in the eastern Bitlis province on Aug. 13 along with two other terrorists, the ministry said.

She was in the gray category of the Interior Ministry's wanted list and carried a bounty of 500,000 Turkish liras (nearly $68,000).

The wanted list is divided into five color-coded categories, with red as the most wanted, followed by blue, green, orange, and gray.

Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in statements to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK-listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU-has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
