Three suspected PYD/PKK terrorists have been arrested in southeastern Turkey, security sources said on Monday.

Acting on a tip, gendarmerie squads rounded up the suspects in Suruc in the Sanliurfa provice, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

The suspects, the sources said, were nabbed after they illegally entered Turkey from Ayn al-Arab in Syria's northern Aleppo province.

The PYD/PKK is a Syrian offshoot of the PKK terror group, which has taken some 40,000 lives in its 30-year terrorist campaign against the Turkish state, including those of women and children.
