Two people were killed and another was rescued when a mine collapsed in Turkey's Black Sea Zonguldak province on Monday, official sources said.

Three workers were trapped inside the mine which is operated by Turkish Hard Coal Institution (TTK), a source from the coal authority told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Abulkadir Cebeci, one of the workers, was rescued alive, while two others -- Isa Celtik and Cafer Tepebasi, were found dead.
