4 Turkish soldiers martyred in PKK attack in SE Turkey
Four Turkish soldiers were martyred and four others injured on Wednesday in an attack by PKK terrorists in the southeastern province of Hakkari, the governor's office said.
PKK terrorists detonated a roadside bomb as a military vehicle was passing by in the Yüksekova district's Esendere region, said a statement from the governor's office.
The injured soldiers were rushed to Yüksekova State Hospital.
Anti-terror operations are ongoing in the region.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
