Mauro Icardi sank his former team Sampdoria with four goals to seal Inter Milan's 5-0 away win in the Italian Serie A Sunday.

Ivan Perisic opened the scoring with a header before captain Icardi converted a penalty, stunned goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano with a clever flick and slammed home a ball on the rebound before the break.

The Argentinian then volleyed in on 51 minutes to increase his Serie A season tally to 22. He has a total of 103 goals in the top flight and has scored 100 overall in five seasons at Inter.

Inter moved past Lazio to occupy the fourth available Champions League place. Samp sit seventh, just below the Europa League zone.

Seven games complete matchday 29 later Sunday including Lazio against Bologna.
