West Ham will sign defender Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Manchester City, the Premier League club said Friday.
Zabaleta will join the Hammers on a two-year contract on July 1 once his contract at City expires.
The 32-year-old Argentina international spent nine seasons at City, winning two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups.
"This is an absolute pleasure to be part of West Ham United Football Club," Zabaleta said, "I hope I can give you good moments.
"Sometimes a new challenge is all you need as a person and as a player.
"This is a new challenge for me in the Premier League and I'm ready for it and looking forward to it."
Zabaleta made 333 appearances and scored 12 goals after joining City from Espanyol in 2008.
