Hypocrisy of U.S.: On one hand, call for ceasefire; on other, weapons transfer to Israel

Amid ongoing pressure on Israel to halt its attacks and achieve a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, the U.S. is set to proceed with a $320 million precision bomb transfer to the Tel Aviv government, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

According to correspondence seen by the Wall Street Journal, weapons manufacturer Rafael USA will be transferring the bombs to its Israeli parent company for use in Israel. The Biden administration officially informed congressional leaders about this transfer on October 31.

This development follows shortly after the White House mentioned that President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were in discussions about the possibility of implementing tactical pauses to enable the safe evacuation of civilians from conflict zones. It's worth noting that Prime Minister Netanyahu has rejected calls for a ceasefire, stating that there will be no such ceasefire until all Israeli hostages held by Hamas are returned.

ISRAEL HAS BEEN TARGETING CIVILIANS FOR A MONTH

A month has passed since the onset of Israel's attacks on Gaza, with the number of Palestinians killed since October 7 surpassing 10,000.

According to reports from the Palestinian official news agency WAFA, which has been closely monitoring the developments in Gaza, Israeli planes targeted the residence of the al-Hamayde family in the Shabbura Refugee Camp in the city of Rafah. This attack resulted in the tragic loss of five lives, including that of a woman.

In addition, one person lost their life, and several individuals sustained injuries due to Israeli bombardments directed at a building in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli aircraft and artillery units carried out bombings in various locations, including the surroundings of the Al-Quds Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa area of the Gaza Strip, the Al-Shati and Al-Maghazi refugee camps, the Zeitoun district, and numerous areas in the Beit Hanoun vicinity. It has been reported that these bombings have led to a significant number of casualties, both in terms of fatalities and injuries.
