As reported by the BBC, Robert De Niro commenced delivering his prepared speech on stage at the 33rd Gotham Awards in New York, where he was presenting an award to the film "Full Moon Killers," featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone.

During his address, De Niro interrupted his speech, stating, "The beginning of my speech was changed and cut off. I was not aware of this." He went on to reveal that the segments of his speech where he criticized Donald Trump had been removed without his consent.

Undeterred, De Niro continued reading the original text from his phone. He highlighted Trump's "lies," stating, "The former president lied to us more than 30 thousand times during the 4 years he was in office, and he is not slowing down in his current revenge campaign."
