President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit two Gulf countries, Kuwait and Qatar, next week, the presidential press office said.

Erdoğan is scheduled to make official visits to Qatar and Kuwait on Nov. 13-15, according to a statement.

During the three-day visit, Erdoğan is to sign bilateral agreements between Turkey and Kuwait. He is also scheduled to attend the third Turkey-Qatar Highly Strategic Committee in Doha.

Regional and international developments as well as bilateral relations between Turkey and the Gulf countries are also to be discussed in detail, the statement added.

Turkey backs Qatar in the Gulf crisis that was triggered in June when Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the U.A.E. and Bahrain cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar.

The four states accuse Qatar of supporting terrorist groups -- allegations Doha denies, describing the embargo as a breach of its national sovereignty.
