It has come to attention that FETÖ members have been making alliances with the PKK after the July 15 attempted coup in the Southeast region by turning a blind eye to attacks. "FETÖ membered Commandos did not intervene in any kind of way in order to cause chaos" confesses a FETÖ Commando.

According to soldiers who surrendered and confessed after the July 15 attempted coup apart of the Turkish Armed Forces in Konya admitted that a few hours before the attempted coup identified a group of 15 PKK members. The Governor requested back up from the Tunceli Commando and military pilot staff Atilla Tamer, however Tamer made up excuses like 'the helicopters are out of order and there is no ammunition" and prevented the terrorists from being neutralized. Due to this and not being able to send helicopters or F-16 aircrafts to the region, the terrorists attacked the Military station with a vehicle loaded of bombs close to 4 tons in the village of Kilkoy. The vehicle blew up right before it reached the station and a horrific disaster was deterred.

FETÖ member Atilla Tamer said not to intervene

On August 22, 2016 atleast 70 terrorists organized a rocket launching attack to the Nazimiye Military Commandership and Police station. At that moment, the security instantly got into defense and 25 year old specialized sergeant Murat Durmaz was martyred. The PKK terrorists turned the whole district into war zone by also attacking the local government offices, police and military stations. They burned several vehicles including 2 ambulances. One of the confessors said that "Atilla Tamer gave us the order to come back". A few commandos who were FETÖ members in their testimonies said that "in-order to cause chaos, no one intervened to the PKK". Tamer was captured and arrested in Konya after the attempted coup.
