Iran has dragged Canada to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for allegedly breaching Tehran's state immunity by designating it a sponsor of terrorism, the UN's top court said Wednesday.

Tehran accused Ottawa of "alleged violations of its immunities" through a series of legal, political and diplomatic measures stemming from the 2012 terror listing, the Hague-based tribunal said in a statement.
