North and South Korea unite in new bid to improve ties
North and South Korea have restored suspended communication channels and their leaders have agreed to improve ties, despite a two-and-a-half-year-stalemate in U.S.-led diplomacy aimed at stripping North Korea of its nuclear weapons.
