Israeli forces on Thursday killed a Palestinian teenager and injured another during a pre-dawn raid into the Balata refugee camp in eastern Nablus city, in the north of the occupied West Bank.
According to the official news agency Wafa, the two Palestinians injured by Israeli forces during the raid were taken to hospital, but one of them was later declared dead, identified as 18-year-old Ezzeddin Hafi.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Jebril, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Nablus city, was quoted by the news agency as saying that Israeli forces prevented ambulances from reaching the injured.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that Israeli forces stormed the Balata refugee camp, triggering clashes with Palestinians.
Tensions have been high across the West Bank since the fighting broke out on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel in Gaza.
More than 220 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces in the West Bank since Oct. 7 in addition to over 2,800 others injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
