A Turkish humanitarian agency has dug another water well in Cameroon to benefit 3,000 people there.

The well is named after Yunus Sanır, a mufti who died in a car accident in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province.

Yasin Karayel, head of the Heybe Humanitarian Relief Association, told Anadolu Agency the group has so far dug 19 wells since the beginning of the year.

''One of the most fundamental problems in Africa is shortage of clean water. Our foundation will keep digging wells in coordination with philanthropists around the world," he said.
