The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has so far organized iftar (fast-breaking) events for over 15,000 people in Yemen, Myanmar and Montenegro, the agency said on Wednesday.

TIKA also distributed food packs to 1,000 families in Yemen, the agency said in a statement.

Separately, the agency held iftar dinners for 220 people and distributed aid among 100 families in Montenegro's Biyelo Polye city, it said.

TIKA also held iftar dinners for 500 people in Myanmar and distributed 5,000 food packages to needy Rohingya Muslims, the statement read.

The state-run body will continue to hold iftar meals all around the world during the holy month of Ramadan, the statement added.
