Four victims were wounded Friday when PYD/PKK supporters in a southern French port city attacked a number of Turkish nationals.

Supporters of the terrorist organization marched to the southern province of Marseille, under police escort, and caused a riot when they reached the Saint-Antoine neighborhood, according to information obtained by an Anadolu Agency correspondent.

It stated that the French authorities were silent before the provocations of the PYD/PKK supporters and they did not intervene the fight on time.

Turkish citizens living in the region said that French police provided along the way, but they did not intervene when terrorist supporters attacked the Turks.

More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives in Turkey since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign against the Turkish sate in July 2015.
