The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) inaugurated a clinic in northern Afghanistan's Balkh city on Monday.
The Shadiyan Clinic was opened with the participation of Afghan Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz, Deputy Health Minister Feda Mohammad Paykan, TIKA's Coordinator to Mazar-i Sharif Zeki Bulduk and other Afghan officials.
Speaking at the opening event, Feroz said Turkey and Afghanistan were two friendly and brotherly countries.
He said Turkey supported Afghanistan via TIKA's assistance in the health sector across the country and thanked the Turkish people and the Turkish government.
TIKA's Coordinator to Mazar-i Sharif Bulduk said Turkish aid to Afghan would continue.
"TIKA has been operating 12 hospitals in Afghanistan's Faryab, Jowzjan, and Tahar provinces and eight million patients have been treated," he said.
Bulduk added the clinic had capacity for 100 patients per day.
Established in 1992, TIKA is the leading institution under the Turkish Prime Ministry responsible for the implementation of development projects and programs in more than 100 countries covering health and humanitarian programs, education and agriculture.
