Hundreds of protesters took part in a government-organized demonstration in the Iranian capital Tehran in opposition to US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The demonstrators burned US flags and pictures of Trump, while shouting slogans such as "Down with America," "Down with Israel" and "Jerusalem will be liberated."
Authorities called the demonstration, held after Friday prayers at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla mosque, to show Iran's solidarity with the Palestinian people. According to the local Tasnim news agency, there were similar demonstrations in other Iranian cities.
