Turkey's state-run aid body has provided technical support to Sarajevo Canton Television (TVSA) as part of the channel's transition from analogue to high definition (HD) broadcasting.

Officials from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) handed out technical equipment to TVSA officials as part of a project aiming at strengthening technical infrastructure of media companies in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a written statement by the aid body said.

Thanks to the equipment, the process of setting up a completely digital news studio has completed, it added.

Elvir Resic, general manager of TVSA, said TIKA understood the problems of their channel and it showed an effective project partnership, adding:

"I hope our cooperation will continue with TIKA and its partners in Turkey."

TIKA, in 2013, also provided technical support to BH Veza television network in Bosnia.

Established in 1992, TIKA is implementing Turkey's developmental cooperation policies overseas.
