A neo-Nazi website linked to the deadly hate rally this past weekend had its domain registration canceled Monday by Google.

"We are cancelling Daily Stormer's registration with Google Domains for violating our terms of service," Google said in a statement.

The announcement came shortly after GoDaddy, another hosting firm, took similar action because the white supremacist site published an insulting story about Heather Heyer, who was killed Saturday when a car rammed into counter-protestors at the rally.

The driver, James Alex Fields Jr., 20, was arrested shortly after the crash and denied bail Monday in his first court appearance.

Prior to the rally Saturday, hundreds marched on the University of Virginia campus late Friday while holding torches reminiscent of Ku Klux Klan gatherings.

The two-day protest is thought to be the largest recent gathering of white nationalists.

Activists have warned of an emboldening of the groups since President Donald Trump was elected. Hate incidents targeting minorities have since soared.
