At least one military intelligence officer in Ukraine has been killed by a car bomb Tuesday, the country's Defense Ministry announced.
The bombing, which took place in central Kiev early Tuesday morning, left Col. Maksim Shapoval dead and a few others wounded.
The ministry said the incident was regarded as a terror attack and that an investigation had been launched.
Ukraine has been wracked by conflict since March 2014 following Russia's annexation of Crimea after an internationally contested referendum.
