TUSK SAYS BRITISH OFFER ON EU CITIZENS BELOW OUR EXPECTATIONS

European Council President Donald Tusk said Friday that Prime Minister Theresa May's offer on EU citizens' rights post-Brexit did not meet the expectations of EU member states.

EU President Donald Tusk expressed disapointment Friday at British Prime Minister Theresa May's offer on the rights of European citizens after Brexit, saying it could leave them worse off.

"My first impression is the UK offer is below our expectations and this risks worsening the situation of our citizens in the UK," Tusk told a news conference after a Brussels summit.
