A group of Turkish volunteers have started to repair local schools in the Afrin region that the terrorist groups harmed intentionally to spread fear and oppression over civilians.
With the scope of a project led by the Keçioren district municipality of Turkey's capital Ankara, Turkish volunteers renovate schools for the local children in Afrin city.
Renovations to the schools included refurbishments to classroom walls, floors, and playgrounds as well as replacing chairs and desks.
The team of 50 people have restored six schools so far and aim to restore every school in all other settlements liberated from the terrorists, the Keçiören's vice mayor Tekin Baser said.
Başer also said that "Some of those school aren't used for long years and others don't have any school supplies. We are doing all necessary work to restore the schools. We're building playgrounds for students."
After liberating Afrin's town center on Sunday, the Turkish Army started taking measures to oversee security and order in the city center.
