Terror attacks in western Europe have become far deadlier in the last four years, the global terrorism database has revealed. The results of the report show that in 2016 there were 30 attacks which resulted in fatalities and 23 in 2015, compared to just 2 in 2014 and 5 in 2013. The increase means that 26.5 people on average were killed per attack in 2015 and 2016, a shocking spike from the average of four in the preceding 3 years.
